The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has reported 24 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria. 

Previously on 111, the health minister, Mr. Osagie Ehanire, yesterday reported the second death from the global pandemic in Nigeria, while the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde also tweeted that he had tested positive for the virus. 

Experts from University of Ibadan had earlier predicted the number will rise beyond 300 before friday, while NCDC had revealed they are working on building more testing centers across qthe country.

Lagos and Abuja still retain the red zones with 81 and 25 cases respectively, with Enugu state the only state in the South East with confirmed cases.

Local tabloids in Imo State had quoted the Chief Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre Owerri as saying that there are suspected cases in the hospital, while people are urged to stay at home if there is no reason to go out. 

Lockdown in market, shops and civil service in Imo state enters the second day as the state battles to maintain its zero status at the moment.
