Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has assigned portfolios to his 23 commissioners.

Gov. Uzodinma on Monday sworn them in, alongside 89 other aides, including special advisers and senior special assistants.

He advised them to be good ambassadors of the Imo government and see the appointments as a privilege they should not abuse.

Uzodinma demanded that they use experience to drive his administration’s vision of Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Recovery

The commissioners and their portfolios as follows: Mr C.O.C Akaolisa (Orsu LGA) is the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Declan Emelumba (Oru West LGA) takes charge of Information & Strategy, while Dr (Mrs) Damaris Osunkwo (Ahiazu Mbaise) is the Commissioner for Health.

Dr Iyke Njoku (Aboh Mbaise) is for Environment, Prof. B. T. O. Ikegwuoha (Orlu LGA) was named Commissioner for Education, Mr Francis Dibiagwu (Oguta LGA) will head Special Duties and Mr Doris Akubuo (Njaba LGA) heads Tourism and Creative Arts.

Mr Daniel Oguh (Okigwe LGA) was named Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mr Noble Atulegwu (Owerri West LGA) heads Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition, while Mr. Christopher Osuala (Nwangele LGA) is the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.

Also, Mr Lambert Orisakwe (Isu LGA) emerged as the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mrs Obiageri Ajoku (Ohaji Egbema LGA) is the Commissioner for Livestock Development, and Mrs Nkechi Ugwu (Ideato South LGA) is the Commissioner for Gender and Vulnerable Group.

Mr Simeon Ibegbulem (Ihitte Uboma LGA) heads Special Projects, Mr Kingsley Ononuju (Mbaitoli LGA) emerged as Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr Enyinnaya Onuegbu (Ngor Okpala LGA) is the Commissioner for Lands while Mr Rex Anunobi (Nkwerre LGA) will oversee Transport.

Other commissioners are Mr Raph Nwosu (Oru West LGA) for Works, Mr Fabian Ihekwueme (Obowo LGA) for International Affairs. Mr Tony Umezuruike (Owerri North LGA) takes charge of Ministry of Public Utilities.

Ministry of Technology Development is headed by Mr Iyke Umeh (Ideato North LG), Dr Elias Martins Emedom is in charge of Ministry of Social Welfare and Sanitation, while Love Ineh (Obowo LGA) is the Commissioner for Housing.
