Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has ordered Imo workers aged of 45  and above to henceforth work from home as part of precautionary measures to prevent the entry of Coronavirus in the state. 


Gov. Uzodinma also ordered the cease of operation by all Night Clubs, bars and entertainment hubs in the state, starting from Tuesday, 24th March, 2020.
The Governor while addressing a press conference said, “we will continue to update us as to the precautionary measures as we find it necessary to do so.” He said,

“Imo is safe and in the hands of God”, adding that, the Taskforce his government set up, a crack team of medical professionals and experts are working 24/7 to ensure that Imo state is safe for the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world.

For emergency, government has set up isolation centers and necessary precautionary measures have been put in place.
