Official report from Imo State Police Command has it that one person has died, while eleven others were rescued from. The rubble of a collapsed eith storey building in the Owerri, the capital city of Imo State.
The statement has it that an eight storey building under construction along Musa Yar’adua drive, new owerri, collapsed, trapping about fifteen person believed to be workers at the said site.
So far six persons were saved unhurt while five others were taken to the hospital after they were pulled out of the rubbles.
With one person confirmed dead, the rescue team are still battling to rescue the rest people still trapped underneath the debris.
Investigations will follow up as to ascertain the cause of the collapse while Imolites are in prayer for the other lives to be saved
