As different states in nigeria continue to record cases of coronavirus infection, various governments are getting ready by putting health facilities in place to face the challenge.

Imo state government is working with the federal medical centre (FMC) owerri with a view to ensuring that material and human resources are put together to tackle coronavirus incidents.

No case of coronavirus infection has been recorded in the state.

A well-equipped isolation centre has been set up at FMC, owerri in readiness for the covid-19 cases.

Public relations officer (pro) of FMC, Dr. Jacy Achonu, said in an interview that the hospital was working with Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration to get the state ready for cases of Covid-19, if they come up in the state.

Dr. Achonu also said health workers were getting ready to work round the clock to tackle the challenge, adding that management of FMC was taking necessary measures to get the hospital ready for suspected Covid-19 cases.
