The Imo State Command of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Owerri on Tuesday explained how kidnappers killed one of its officers in a gun duel at Ohi Junction in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state, saying that it was not a police officer that was shot as reported.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, the NDLEA Assistant State Commander (Operations and Intelligence), Mr. Raji Kayode said that it was the operatives of the NDLEA that were engaged in the shootout with the kidnappers gang at Ohi junction in the state and not the police.
