A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Chief Anthony Nwaigwe, has called on the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma to ensure that workers’ salaries and pensions are paid as at when due.

Nwaigwe who made the call shortly after a meeting of Imo Hope for Good Governance (IHGG) last Sunday, at the country home of Barr. Kennedy Uzondu Osunwa, the patron of the Association, said a worker deserves his wages.

This was even as he called on the members of the group to rally round their leaders and shun any acts of insubordination but always be loyal to the constituted authorities.

Chief Nwaigwe commended the Governor on infrastructural development such as roads and other developmental projects, encouraging him to do more to gladden the people’s confidence in the shared prosperity Government.

According to him, “Though the Governor planned to govern Imo for only one tenure of four years but with what he is doing currently, God will use him to consolidate the state in the next four years,” he stated.

He therefore called on the people of Isiala Mbano in particular to continue to support the policies and programmes of the Governor with a view to gaining the dividends of democracy.
