Appointees of the Shared Prosperity Government of Governor Hope Uzodimma may finally heave a sigh of relief as their wait for four months is over as the Governor has ordered the payment of their salaries.

The appointees whose groaning were becoming louder since their inauguration about four months ago, have found things really difficult as Governor Uzodimma failed to pay them their salaries and other emoluments since their swearing in.

Daily Nigerian Horn investigations revealed that contrary to the expectations of the appointees that their appointments will take effect from March when they were sworn – in, the Governor had allegedly put their date of appointment effective from June.
This action by the Governor according to some of the appointees, would put them in great disadvantage as some of them had incurred huge hotel bills and other expenses hoping that the Governor will pay them arrears of 3-4 Months.

Meanwhile, Daily Nigerian Horn learnt from credible sources that the Interim Management Committee Chairmen of the Local Government Areas have received their one month salary.

They allegedly received their alert yesterday, Monday 6th July, 2020.
Other appointees according to the source will receive theirs this week.
