An African empowerment and development agency resident in Nigeria is set to commence the induction of 100 girls for an Integrated Computer Training program. The African Scholars Care Initiative-ASCI, has announced its readiness to commence the “Girls In ICT For Youth Inclusion Project on Monday, 10th of August 2020 at African Union ECOSOCC Nigeria at 7th floor, WAEC Building, No.10, Zambezi Street, Maitama Abuja.
The induction program will record the presence of notable personalities as Special Guests and Panelists. The Special Guests are the Honourable Minister of State for Science and Technology, Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi, who is also Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Otumba Alabi, as Guest Speaker, Dr. Tunji John Asaolu, as Keynote Speaker and Chief Mrs. Mary Ekpere Eta, as Mother of the Day. The Panelists are Dr. Tonye Rex Idaminabo, Actress Tonto Dikeh, Kiki Osinbajo, Mr. Daniel Oniko, Daniel Arinze, Osasu Igbenedion, Mr. Abu Andrew and Rachel Bakam.
Speaking with Abuja Press Correspondent few hours ago, the Founder and President of African Scholars Care Initiative-ASCI, Queen Joy Onumajuru stated that the project was initiated to celebrate youths with the induction, training and certification of over 100Girls in ICT. She further noted that the training exercise would conducted by Digital Skills Foundation in Paris, France.
Onumajuru explained that the project will also witness the sensitisation of people across Africa and globe on the need to be resilient especially in the era of the global Covid19 pandemic. Emphatically, Girls in ICT For Youth Inclusion project has been designed to spearhead a new path in the inclusion of girls in youth empowerment.
African Scholars Care Initiative-ASCI has continued to project the values and virtues of humanity through empowerment programs especially for youths in Africa and has continued to support awareness Initiative on the directives and measures needed to curtail Covid19 in Africa. ASCI under the leadership of Queen Joy Onumajuru has remained consistently committed to humanitarian activities, especially in education and empowerment of children, youth and underprivileged persons.
Recently, African Scholars Care Initiative-ASCI commissioned a multimillion naira water borehole project, to provide water for Locals in Jahi Community, at LEA Primary School in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Thereafter, it held a media tour across various broadcast agency in Africa.
