The member representing Orlu,Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jerry Alagbaoso says he is in support of those that went to court to challenge the outcome of the just concluded Imo state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Congress, as he maintained that Uzodimma is a governor of every body.
While addressing his supporters during what he described as emergency Constituency briefing, Alagbaoso maintained that he decided to break the long period of silence because of some certain issues that are bordering his mind.
The lawmaker maintained that he is in total support of those that went to court to challenge what he described as a highly sidelined Congress and a Congress that was done in a hurry.
“I am supporting those that went to court to challenge the out come of the just concluded PDP state Congress because of the manner in which the Congress was conducted especially in my own Constituency.Orlu zone got only publicity secretary and ex-official member despite the fact that the zone has never failed in their financial obligations to the party.”he stated.
He commended the aggrieved members led by Chief Alloy Igwe for the maturity they exhibited by going to court to seek for a redress instead of taking laws in their hands.”Before they went to court they have tried to use the party apparatus to get the matter resolved but to no avail. I would have been angry with them if they went on rampage destroying things. So going to court is the best way, I commend them for that”
Alagbaoso who used the occasion to observe a minute silence in honour of Hon. Edwin Iheanacho who died recently, also enjoined the people of the zone to support Uzodimma who he described as a governor of everybody.”Governor Uzodimma is not a governor of APC,APGA or PDP he is a governor of every body I have nothing against him.He is our own and we must respect him,” he maintained.
The lawmaker concluded that if he is not in good terms with the governor, that there is no way he can discuss with him in anything that affects his Constituency.
The occasion was graced with some notable politicians among them are, Chief Okoroafor Anyanwu, Chief Alloy Igwe the zonal Chairman of People Democratic Party, Chief Osita Nwaneri and host of others.
