The much awaited judgment by the Federal High Court, Owerri, on the All Progressive Congress, APC, Okigwe senatorial ticket, has been postponed indefinitely.

No date has been fixed for the judgement, as reports reaching this newspaper, indicate that the presiding judge was absent on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, a day reserved for ruling on the matter

Despite the party’s recognition of Mr. Frank Ibezim as candidate of the party for the rescheduled Okigwe senatorial election, serial governorship aspirant in the state, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume is challenging the declaration of Ibezim as the APC candidate for the Okigwe senate election.

The court after proceedings on Friday, October 16 had adopted briefs of counsels on the matter and reserved October 27 for judgment.

The APC Okigwe senate primary had generated controversy as parallel primaries were held.

In the end, the national leadership of the party recognized and forwarded the name of Frank Ibezim, to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, as authentic candidate of the party for the Okigwe senate election.
