Reports from Imo State House of Assembly has it that Hon. Chiji Collins has been impeached as the Speaker.
The impeachment comes after it was rumoured that Hon. Collins was having a meeting with Sen. Ifeanyi Araraume a political enemy of Gov. Hope Uzodinma.
Details are yet to emerge, as main reason for the impeachment, but the House has now elected Hon. Paul Emeziem of Onuimo LGA as the new Speaker.

Another unconfirmed report has it that Gov. Hope Uzodinma is waiting to receive the new Speaker at the Government House Owerri, while it is yet to be known who will be next to go down in the ensuing political battle ahead of the Okigwe Senatorial Election.
