According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Imo State recorded 7 new cases of Covid-19 out of the 418 it reported for December 13, 2020.
Imo State which has seen a total 681 confirmed cases added 7 to it with only 24 of them active.
The state has seen 12 deaths from the pandemic with 645 persons discharged.
Lagos State recorded 113 cases, followed by FCT Abuja with 86 cases out of the 418 it reported for December 13, 2020.
The cases are shared as follows; Lagos-113, FCT-86, Abia-47, Kaduna-39, Rivers-27, Katsina-22, Benue-14, Oyo-13, Kano-12, Enugu-8, Edo-7, Imo-7, Bauchi-6, Ebonyi-6, Ogun-6, Ondo-4, and Nasarawa-1.
So far, Nigeria has recorded 73,175 confirmed with 66,090 discharges and 1,197 deaths.
Amidst a surge in cases, NCDC in their #TakeResponsibility campaign has urged Nigerians to limit all non-essential travel during the Christmas & New Year festivities.
There is still a call for Nigerians to limit person-to-person contacts with citizens urged to always wear a face mask
