Nollywood actress and movie producer Infinity Ebere Ohakwe said her eyes are now set on the highly coveted African Movie Viewers Choice Award after seeing one of her movies ‘Olaedo’ win The Best People/Audience Choice Award at the Coal City Film Festival.
The actress after receiving the award said it has been a journey for her and the award will surely fuel her to do more.
Joining a list of producers like Okey Oku who won at the ceremony, Infinity Ebere Ohakwe said the award goes beyond celebrating her efforts but will also make her understand what people out there enjoy.
“It lets me see through the eyes and minds of the people”, she said while speaking to OtownGist.
“I’ll do more and of course it is a journey for me and by the grace of God, AMVCA, AMAA, Oscars will be the next stop for me”, she added.
Directed by Iyke Odife (dgn), the award-winning movie ‘Olaedo’ which was shot in Owerri, Imo State, had Pete Edochie, Rechael Okonkwo, Yemi Blaq, Sophie Alakija, Ray Emodi, Nina Ivy (Bbnaija), Maureen Okpoko, Mishi Dorah (Kenyan), Glamour Pamm (Kenyan) amongst others on the cast.
She also took time to congratulate other winners at the event especially one of the lead casts in ‘Olaedo’ Chief Pete Edochie who was honoured with a Lifetime Achievers Award.
“He’s a blessing to the industry and Nigeria as a whole. I celebrate him any time any day” she said.
“I appreciate the organizers of the award for looking my way and from this moment, it means more work and work for me.”
