Visiting National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria AGN, Comr. Emeka Rollas Ejezie has said that those thinking that the Imo State chapter of the guild has a faction, should do away with such thoughts because it is not true.

Comr. Emeka Rollas made the call in Owerri on Friday when he paid a visit to the members of the guild in Imo State in an event which took place at Bongo Center Owerri.

He stated that the aim of his visit was to get first hand information from members and also find ways to see that the factional fallacies will be a thing of the past.

He said that incitement from people who do not have the interest of the guild at heart has turned the minds of some members adding that there was only one election in Imo State and it brought a legitimate executive who will be in charge until a court of law faults it.

“Because of the problem in Imo State, you are missing out on the benefits of being a member of the AGN. Example is an Insurance Scheme that has been helping members in other states as well as other policies that can now help members travel to any country easily”

“We need to filter the information we receive with wisdom and know what is true before sharing them because AGN is a body of professionals; not a political party or a union of touts”

He called on those claiming to be factions of the guild in the state to pursue their cause constitutionally, adding that any attempt to fight the legitimate executive in any state is war against the National Executive and they will use every tool in their power to fight the person.

He also said that the guild is still open to those persons if they are willing to repent, but warned that AGN in Imo State will not succumb to wills of some individuals who do not care if the guild is dead or alive.

He thanked everyone who mediated in the matter, singling out Mr. Prospect Nlemchukwu (Mr. P) who on several occasions had a meeting with all the groups and stake holders of the guild.
