Nigeria’s foremost trade and investment promotion orgaization, Trade Nigeria has lined up multiple programs designed to strategically inject life into different sectors of the country’s economy.

The programs according to the President of Trade Nigeria, Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, will go a long way in taking what we have to the outside world and then bringing back what we need.

Buchi George said that the best thing for Nigeria at the moment is not to get our needs from other countries, but to boost our capacity to produce most of the things we consume in te country.

“Technology-wise, we might not be there and our programs will not only expose us to these technologies that are very necessary for increased output in different sectors but will also have Nigerians train to either efficiently operate them or fabricate them”

“We have tons of well-crafted programs in the area of trade and investment; training and capacity building and others designed to develop key sectors like agriculture, real estate amongst others”, Buchi George said.

Trade Nigeria is planning ‘Nigeria Train for Trade Program’, designed to train Nigerian youths in automobile and automotive mechanics with auto technical training modules included.

The program is in collaboration with auto-giants Toyota, Nissan, Kia, and Hyundai. It will be taking place in Toyota, Nissan Training Institute Tokyo Japan as well as Kia and Hyundai Training Institute Seoul, South Korea.

Billed for September 23 to 25, 2021, National Agro Week & Expo 2021 is designed to provide an interface with over 980 agritech and agricultural companies in Europe and Asia for Nigeria farmers and agro-entrepreneurs. It will also feature workshops on agro-commerce, agro-healthcare, agro-business, financing, and management.

Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George further stated that one thing they do is to pay attention to economies that are working, to see what Nigeria can take home, adding that it is one of the reasons for Nigeria – Japan Trade Mission and Bussiness Delegation of Industries, Investment, and Commerce.

He said that the event is designed to improve bilateral trade between the two countries. He also said that Japan’s rise as one of the biggest economies in the world is something to emulate and their technological prowess is also one thing Nigeria needs to copy.

“This program covers all sectors, tech, agro, and other businesses. What we are doing is simply to matchmake our people with their counterparts from Japan and of course with the support the Ministries of Trade and Investment in both countries”

“We are working with both governments and we are looking forward to a fantastic outing by October this year”, he added.

Nigeria – Japan Trade Mission and Bussiness Delegation of Industries, Investment, and Commerce is scheduled for October 3 to 10, 2021 at Grand Hilton Tokyo, Japan.
