Organizers of the Face of Igbo Heritage Legend Awards FIHLA have revealed that plans are in motion to see the event take place in October 2021.

They said that the event will be coming up in a grand style as they hope to achieve all the goals of the brand.

According to Mazi Uzochukwu Nkweatu the founder of the Face of Igbo Heritage Legend International Foundation, the main organizers of the event, they have come a long way in putting together partnerships and strategies to get to the point they are.

“We are getting towards the end of it”, Mazi Uzochukwu Nkweatu said in an interview with OtownGist.

“FIHLA Awards will usher in a new era where Igbos will be so motivated to achieve great things”

“We are setting up something that goes beyond the appreciation of hard work, but a kind of inspiration and reminder that Igbos as a group can do a lot when we come together”

“We have done it before in 2016 and right now we want to bring the best together and then have them inspire another generation to be even better”, he said.

Mazi Uzochukwu Nkweatu said that his organization still has more announcements to make concerning the event adding that even when he can vouch that a lot has been done, there is still so much more that is left to be done.

He said that Igbos are the best and so deserve the best.

“We want to reflect the exceptionality and uniqueness of the Igbos in our packaging and presentation at the event”

“We still have the host state, venue, and time to announce because we have a good number to choose from, when all that is sorted out we will be making the big announcement in conjunction with the custodians of law and tradition in any state we choose” he said.

The group has already mentioned October 30, 2021 as a possible date for the event while other information will come after.
