The Imo State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, embarked on eight weeks recess.
The Speaker, Paul Emeziem, made the announcement during plenary.
The announcement, according to an Assembly source, was to the disappointment of the six suspended members who were hoping to be reinstated sooner than later.
The two-month recess, the source added, will play down on the said suspension and give no more room for reinstatement of the suspended members pending the commencement of plenary by October.
It would be recalled that the State Assembly, alongside other Houses of Assembly, was hit with the Parliamentary Association of Nigeria strike which lingered for many months.
