He suggested that all the perpetrators should be brought to book in order to make headways towards the sustenance of peace and progress in the area.

According to him, “In the past two months, the isolated killings of the people in Zangon Kataf local government area by enemies of peace have become a full-blown war against the Atyap people and the entire local government area that is detrimental to the development of the area.”

He added, “While the combined military operations going on is much commendable, I wish to state that the local, state and federal governments need to show more commitment to securing Zangon Kataf from the hands of organised killers.”

Mr Francis Sani stated that the youths should be formed into vigilante groups and given the needful assistance to work with security agencies in order to secure the area from enemies of progress.

Mr Francis Sani noted, “I want to encourage you all to note that no one can drive us from our ancestral lands and take them over.

“I also deeply sympathise with the families of the fallen victims of the recent attacks and all other ones before them and ask God to accept their souls.

“On my part, I shall in my own little way, continue to offer assistance to the wounded who are still receiving treatment even as I pray for their fast recovery.”

He observed that the area may continue to suffer setbacks by the ongoing activities of the attackers, but believed that it shall soon bounce back in peace.
