He also told state House Correspondents in Abuja after meeting President Buhari that he joined the party for the sake of national unity.

Reacting, Bawasa, who was a former PDP caretaker Chairman in Kaduna State in 2015 and presently lectures in the Department of Political Science, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, said the faithful members of the party have been praying to God to remove such people.

He said some unknown forces have been creating problems for the party, both at the states and the national level, which made the loyal members of the party to seek spiritual help from God, for a quick intervention.

According to him, many unproductive members would be shown the way out of the party, adding that it’s only when they leave that the party would wax stronger.

He added that there is a strong hope for the opposition party to take over the mantle of leadership in 2023.

According to him, “there are members of the party who are not ready to contribute positively to the progress of the party, but are ready to get benefits once the party takes control of leadership.

“Such people, God will surely expose them. They must surely leave our party, and go to where they belong.”
