The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has asked governors in the southeast to sack any market chairman or tricycle union chairman or National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and as well as any other chairman of commercial unions that continue complying with the Monday sit-at-home.

MASSOB, in a release signed by its leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu and sent to DAILY POST on Friday, frowned at the criminal and violent acts of some miscreants in disguise as pro-Biafra agitators causing havoc and atrocities on the suspended Monday’s sit at home exercise in the region.

According to the group, “We can no longer watch criminals destroying the economies of Ndigbo in the name of sit at home exercise”, describing such tendency as acceptable.

The group warned Biafra agitators to avoid tendencies that derail the political, economical, and social interest of Ndigbo while in Nigeria.

“The weekly sit-at-home exercise has inflicted uncountable economic injuries to Ndigbo. It is an exercise in futility.

“The weekly sit-at-home exercises are no longer for Biafra actualization and restoration, it is setting the struggle backward.

“We shall not relent in speaking out against the factors that militate and opposes the general interest of Ndigbo in Nigeria. Ndigbo are facing a serious and critical dispossession in Nigeria”.
