The head coach of Nigeria women’s senior volleyball team, Samuel Ajayi, has said he is looking forward to the team’s victory against Senegal at the 2021 African Seniors Nations Championship in Rwanda on Sunday.

Nigeria was drawn in Pool A with Rwanda, Senegal and Morocco after the end of the technical meeting held at the Kigali Conference Arena on Saturday.

Ajayi said his desire is to qualify for Pool A for the Semifinals after Nigeria escape the Pool A tagged Pool of death consisting of Defending champions, Cameroon, Kenya, Tunisia, DR Congo and Burundi.

“We lost to Senegal at the 1999 World Cup qualifier so it will be exciting, a big challenge for us to beat them in our first game at this year’s Nations Championship. We can do it,” Ajayi said.

“Out of the three team, we played Morocco at the 2019 African Games where we lost to them. It is our desire to qualify from this Pool and move to the Semifinals

“We have a big chance to finish top. I am calling on Nigerians to support the team with prayers He Concluded.
