The All Progressives Congress (APC) says credible elections have improved under President Muhammadu Buhari.

The party restated support for constitutionally-permitted innovations that will improve the transparency of electioneering processes, including nomination of party candidates.

A statement on Wednesday by John Akpan Udoedehe, APC Caretaker Secretary, reacted to Senate’s amendments to the Electoral Act.

The revision will be forwarded to Buhari for consideration.

The scribe told Nigerians to ignore the rant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Hailing the 9th National Assembly, Udoedehe said the PDP was only pretending to be an opposition.

“Valid votes now count and past practices of electoral fraud inflicted on Nigerians by PDP administrations are fast becoming a thing of the past”, he noted.

The official said the ruling party under the leadership of Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni has entrenched internal democracy.

The Secretary cited the party’s “recent and successful nationwide congresses”.

Udoedehe added that the APC will always stand for free, fair, transparent and credible polls.
