Twenty-seven students and three teachers abducted from the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri in Kebbi State, have regained freedom.

They comprised two male and one female teachers, two girls and twenty-five boys. All were in captivity for four months.

Governor Atiku Bagudu announced their release on Thursday while addressing the students in Birnin Kebbi.

Bagudu thanked God for their release and urged them to consider their kidnap as a trial from God.

“Even Prophets of Allah, who are the best and most faithful people, had been tested and tried.

“One thing is certain: if you are tested and tried and you become patient, the sky is your limit and only Allah knows your reward,” he said.

Bagudu prayed for the rescue of those yet to be released.
