The Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, has encouraged youths to keep fighting to have a better Nigeria.

The cleric said this while commemorating with Nigerians one year after the End SARS protests which ended in a brutal crackdown by security forces.

Pastor Adeyemi, in a short message via his Twitter account, said every young Nigerian owns the future and should keep it moving to fulfill the dream of a Nigeria without discrimination.

His tweets read: “Dear young Nigerian, we adults will not hold the stage forever. You own the future.

“Keep moving to fulfill the dream of a Nigeria and Africa that empower all without discrimination, creating political, economic, and cultural development. Your efforts will not be in vain.”

Meanwhile, some protesters who trooped out in peaceful demonstration for the End SARS memorial have been arrested at Lekki toll gate.

They gathered in Lagos and Abuja to call for justice for victims of police brutality who were allegedly gunned down on October 20, 2020.

The police also tear-gassed some protesters to disperse them from the toll gate.
