The organizers of the famous Soccer Fans Fiesta SFF in Owerri have said that the third edition of the event will be loaded with more activities and goodies for participants.
The event which they said is put together to unite football fans and curb unnecessary rivalry which has often led to the loss of lives will also see groups and individuals rewarded for their knowledge in football.
“Soccer Fans Fiesta is the gathering of football lovers representing their respective clubs with bragging rights and most importantly partying together with the sole aim of uniting the fans without violence”, the head of the team Cosmos Chukwuemeka told OtownGist in an interview.
He also added that the event is an avenue for fans of numerous clubs to network amongst themselves, play games, and have fun.
Cosmos Chukwuemeka who is also the sports presenter at Darling FM Owerri, Imo State, said that the event will be featuring games, artist performances, bikini pool show off, swimming competition, 5-aside football match among the fans of some top clubs in Europe, and keynote presentations.
He further stated that points will be awarded to participating clubs as they win in the various competitions involved in the fiesta.
With Team Arsenal emerging overall winners of the last edition, the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Manchester United will be looking to create an upset that will see them unseat the reigning champions of the Soccer Fans Fiesta.
“Five teams will be competing at the mini-tournament, with Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United making up Group A, while Arsenal and Chelsea are in Group B”
“The group winners will face each other at the finals to determine the winner of the mini-tournament. The winner will have 5 points while the runner up will have 3 points”
“These points will be added to points made from other competitions to determine the overall winners”, Dica Divine who is also part of the organizing team told OtownGist.
Competitions at the Soccer Fans Fiesta 3 include
- Fans parade (5pts) duration ( 3mins)
- Club presentation (uncensored) 10pts (5mins)
- Club questions, 3 each (6pts)
- Blur the face game (3pts)
- Swimming competition for male and female respectively 5pts per gender (10pts)
- Male bikini catwalk (5pts)
- Ball to the basket game, 3 throws per club (6pts)
- Spot the difference game (3pts)
- Popcorn competition (4Pts)
- Football competition (5pts, 3pts for 1st and 2nd place only)
The club with the highest number of points will be crowned champions.

Billed to kick off by 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2021, the Soccer Fans Fiesta 3 will be held at Glo Ran Hotels, Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, Imo State, with Cosmos Chukwuemeka as the host.
