Simon Ekpa, the self-acclaimed disciple of the embattled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has expressed hope that the dream of actualizing Biafra as a sovereign state for the Southeast would soon be a reality.

The Finnish stated this in a post on his official Facebook page while reacting to the appearance of Kanu in court without handcuff.

DAILY POST reported that the secessionist was at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday for the continuation of his trial over allegations of terrorism and treasonable felony.

His request to be moved from the Kuje Correctional Centre from the Department of State Service, DSS, facility to Kuje correctional center was, however, turned down by Justice Binta Nyako who adjourned the case to November 10.

Ekpa in his post, said the removal of the handcuff during Kanu’s appearance, indicated hope for Biafra freedom.

The post reads, “In the past, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu always appeared in the court with hands chained (handcuffs) and he had three count charges against him.

“In 2021 with seven count charges he appeared without a chain (handcuff), let me tell you, it is a sign of Biafra freedom, the chain is broken.
