Ortom expressed optimism that the former Senate President, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, the elected national chairman of PDP and other new executive committee of the party would help to rescue the country from the shackles of APC’s bad governance in 2023.

The Governor stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration has not added value towards efforts to achieve the dreams of Nigeria’s founding fathers.

He said the PDP is committed and will not leave any stone unturned to ensure that the party wins the presidency in 2023, pointing out that discussions are on and God’s willing, meaningful results will be achieved.

Governor Ortom said he desires that the PDP arrives at a consensus in the selection of its presidential candidate in the 2023 election, stressing that same method was adopted during the just concluded national convention of the party and a consensus Chairman emerged.

“The new leadership of PDP which shall be inaugurated in the coming weeks is capable of providing the needed leadership and direction for our great country Nigeria.”

“We are very committed and not leaving any stone unturned to ensure that we win the presidency come 2023. We are discussing amongst ourselves and I believe that God will help us achieve our purpose,” Ortom stated.

Chief Dokpesi in his remarks said the leadership of the party had spoken clearly from the result of the party convention, stating that they are all ready to search round the country in order to get the best candidate who will redeem the country, stressing that the party is united.

He said the people were suffering and that youths of the country were 50 years behind currently due to lack of development and the inability of the present government to create opportunities where people can pursue their aspirations in a secure environment.

“My involvement in politics is based on ideology and philosophy. I want the best for Nigeria and can not be intimidated under any guise to give up my ideologies to join the APC,” Dokpesi stated.
