Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, will not be in Paris on Monday night for the 2021 Ballon d’ Or ceremony.
This claim was made by a respected Portuguese journalist, Pedro Sepulveda.
Sepulveda disclosed this in a tweet via his handle on Monday afternoon.
He tweeted: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be in Paris today for the Ballon D’or ceremony.”
France Football will announce the winner of this year’s Ballon d’Or later tonight.
Ronaldo is among the 30-man nominees shortlisted for the award recently.
The Portugal captain, who was benched in Man United’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday, will rival Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi, who has been tipped to win his seventh Ballon d’Or by many, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Chelsea’s Jorginho.
