Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that he is not getting carried away by his side’s form.
Despite a mixed start to the campaign, City are now purring in all competitions, as they attempt to reign in the present league leaders Chelsea.
A 2-1 win over West Ham United on Sunday helped them close the gap, with Chelsea drawing 1-1 against Manchester United later in the day.
“I don’t know what is going to happen. I have said what happens in the past has happened,” Guardiola told the club’s website.
“We go to Birmingham [vs. Aston Villa] on Wednesday to play. The rest is fantasy.
“Thoughts in your mind can create big problems in the team.
“The next game is the only one.”
