Former Chelsea striker, Demba Ba, has predicted that Cristiano Ronaldo will fit into incoming Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick’s squad at Old Trafford.
Rangnick is expected to join Man United over the next few days, having secured a work permit over the weekend.
The 63-year-old coach has been dubbed the godfather of gegenpressing, which has led to many people under the impression he will drop Ronaldo from his starting XI.
Since returning to Man United in the summer from Juventus, Ronaldo has registered some of the lowest running stats in the Man United team.
But Ba, who worked under Rangnick at Hoffenheim, believes the German gaffer will find a way to get the best out of Ronaldo.
“Yes. I believe yes,” Ba told beIN Sports when asked if Ronaldo would fit into Rangnick’s plans at Man United.
“Rangnick has that intelligence to get the best out of the players.
“Also, I believe that he also has that intelligence to adapt to that squad he has, when he has it.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo was benched by Man United caretaker manager, Michael Carrick, in their 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday. He was introduced in the second half.
