Former Manchester United midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger, has revealed that his German compatriot Ralf Rangnick would help the Red Devils ‘close the gap’ on Chelsea on the Premier League table.
Schweinsteiger stated this following Man United’s Premier League 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday.
Chelsea are currently on top of the Premier League table with 30 points from 13 games.
The Blues are currently 12 points ahead of 8th placed Man United on the log.
Man United are expected to officially confirm Rangnick’s appointment as interim manager ahead of their next Premier League clash with Arsenal on Thursday.
In a tweet after Man United’s draw with Chelsea, Schweinsteiger, “Chelsea’s game style has the quality to definitely win titles this season. @ManUtd is not yet there but with Ralf Rangnick, the gap will be closed.”
“Good luck for the next games @ChelseaFC and man utd!”
