Otherwise, Why Would A Book, “REFLECTIONS ON THE IGBO QUESTION”, Sincerely Written By His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma Be The Problem Of Those Parading As Opposition In The State? I Ask This Question Because Governor Hope Uzodinma Has The Right To Write A Book. The Man Reflected On Issues Bothering On The Existence Of The Igbos In Nigeria : The Challenges, Marginalization, Aboriginal Status, Security, Politics, Commerce And Industry Of The Igbo Nation In Nigeria, And Decided To Needle Them Together Into A Book, Which Was Presented To The Public Yesterday, 11/12/2021.
People From All Walks Of Life Graced The Presentation And Commended His Excellency The Governor For His Sincere Thoughts And Reflections On The IGBO QUESTION. For The Records : The IGBO QUESTION As Reflected By Governor Hope Uzodinma In His Book, If Sincerity Acted Upon By The Stakeholders And Nigerians At Large, The NATIONAL QUESTION Would Have Been Answered.
While The Whole World Is Busy Commending A Governor, Who Despite His Tight Schedule, Was Able To Needle His Thoughts Together Into A Book, The Enemies Of Imo State Went To Work To Demonize The Author And Initiator Of The Book, Governor Hope Uzodinma. According To The Opposition, “The Timing Of The Governor’s Book Launch Was Wrong”. They Equally Argued That With Security Challenges Facing The State And Nigeria, It Was Wrong For The Governor To Have Devoted His Time To Write A Book. Also, In A Bid To Make Mockery Of The Leadership Of The Imo State House Of Assembly, The Opposition Wondered Why The Speaker, Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh And His Deputy, Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Would Lead Other Honourable Members Of The House To Grace The Book Presentation Programme.
At This Point, Let Me Declare That The Opposition’s Reaction To The Book Presentation, Is A Reflection Of Their Masturbation And Ejaculation Of Frustration, Jealousy, Irrational Anger, Envy, Hatred And Malice For His Excellency The Governor, Since He Was Declared The Governor Of Imo State. They Have Failed To Understand That The Book In Question, According To The Governor, “Most Of The Speeches In This Compilation Were Made Long Before I Assumed Office As Governor Of Imo State. In Fact A Good Number Of The Speeches Were Made While I Was Senator Representing Imo West Senatorial District In The National Assembly”.
It Is On Record That Governor Hope Uzodinma Is Not The First Sitting Governor In Imo State To Write A Book Or An Article. His Excellency Dr Ikedi Ohakim Wrote Three Books And Countless Number Of Articles During His Tenure As Governor In The State. Rt Honourable Emeka Ihedioha Had A Book Written For Him During His Almost Eight Months In Office As Governor. His Excellency Chief Achike Udenwa Wrote A Number Of Articles During His Eight Years In Office As Governor. His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha Wrote Three Articles During His Eight Years In Office As Governor. Why Then Are Opposition Members Of The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ( Supported And Led By The Immediate Past Governor Who Lost Out At The Supreme Court) Throwing Stones At Governor Hope Uzodinma, From A Glass House, Over A Book?
It Is Therefore Laughable How The Opposition Has Made A Caricature Of Themselves, By Attacking A Governor Who Decided To Put Into A Book, His Thoughts, Reflections And Speeches Over The Years, While As A Serving Senator, Not Even As A Governor. But One Thing Is Clear : By Putting Together His Thoughts Into A Book, REFLECTIONS ON THE IGBO QUESTION”, His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma Has Shamed All The Senseless, Hopeless, Visionless, Missionless And Confused Opposition Members And Detractors Who Have Severally Attempted To Paint Him With Tar Brush Of Being Against Igbo Emancipation And Liberation. Hope Uzodinma Has Clearly Demonstrated Leadership. One Can Therefore Understand The Frustrations And Hatred Of The Opposition For The Person And Personality Of Governor Hope Uzodinma. But Must We Hate Ourselves, Even Though We Are Hated By Other Nigerians? Again, Governor Hope Uzodinma Provided The Answer On Page 101 Of His Book, REFLECTIONS ON THE IGBO QUESTION……….. “So Why Are Igbos So Hated By Her Neighbours? Is It Because Of The Brilliant Industry Of Her People, Their Undying Spirit Or Their Sheer Audacity To Overcome Challenges Anywhere?………..The Cheering News, However, Is That As Incredible As It May Sound, Igbos Remained Resilient And Stood Firm Against All Tribulations Across The Country. It Is Praiseworthy That Our Dominance In Commerce, Industry And The Public Service Did Not Waver In Spite Of The Severe Persecutions We Faced Almost Everywhere”…… Unquote.
On The Spurious But Laughable Allegation Against The Speaker Of IMHA And His Deputy, For Leading Other Honourable Members To Grace The Presentation Of The Book Programme, I Challenge These Anti-government Anarchists To Tell Us What Is Wrong In Showing Solidarity By Gracing A Book Presentation Programme Of A Governor And Leader Of Substance. However, Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh, In Showing Solidarity To His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma, Has Declared That ” The Igboman Is A Great Man. Our Development Lies Not In Conflict, But In Unity Of Purpose, Uncommon Courage And Creativity”……. Unquote. The Above Two Quotes Of Both Governor Hope Uzodinma (In His Book) And Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh Clearly Shows That The Two Leaders Have Extended Hands Of Fellowship To Even Opposition Members In Imo State To Come Forward For The Purpose Of Developing Our Dear State, Not In Conflict, But In Unity, With Uncommon Courage And Creativity.
Therefore, Unnecessarily Attacking Governor Hope Uzodinma, For The Purpose Of Playing Meaningless Opposition Should Be Condemned. Detractors Should Rather Join Hands With Hope Uzodinma To Take Imo State And Indeed, Ndigbo To The Land Of Promise. According To Governor Hope Uzodinma, “These Days, Some People Claim To Be More Igbo Than Others, But Contributed Nothing In The Past. I Believe That The Igbo Are Special And Talented Breed. I Have Checked The History Of Great Men In The Country. Igbo Men Were Leading. I Will Liken The Qualities Of An Igbo Man To That Of The Jews.
Power Can Be Likened To A 🦁 Lion OR A 🐺 Wolf. Those Are The Only Two Ways Through Which You Can Get Power. Like A Lion, If You Are Sure Of Your Strength, You Can Pounce And Get Power. But If You Are Not Sure, You Have To Behave Like ia Wolf. The Wolf Will Befriend You And Get wihat It Wants.
We Can Create Another System Of Addressing The Inequalities OR Marginalization. We Tend To Always Think Of War. We Can’t Even Afford It.
