A man in Adamawa State, Musa Usman, has pleaded guilty to stabbing his neighbour, Abubakar Yunusa, to death.

Musa Usman and Abubakar Yunusa were said to have had a misunderstanding over a goat on a Wednesday evening last week when the former stabbed the latter in his ribs, which led to his death.

According to the prosecutor, the one-count charge of culpable homicide contravenes section 191 of the Penal Code.

“The victim was rushed to the Specialist Hospital Yola, but was confirmed dead the following day by the medical doctor,” the prosecutor added.

The First Information Report tendered before the court indicated that it was one Idris Saidu who reported the incident to the police; hence, the arrest of the defendant

Musa Usman who hails from Sangere, a community in Yola South Local Government Area, confessed to the Chief Magistrate Court 1 in Yola that he perpetrated the crime.

The presiding judge of the court, Abdullahi Mohammed Digil, ordered the remand of the defendant until January 11, 2022, as applied for by the prosecutor, Seargent Sawe Nicholas.
