The presentation of the book written by the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma has aroused questions as the opposition believe the governor is not the real author of the book.

The book titled ‘Reflections on the Igbo Questions’ according to Gov. Uzodinma, will ask big questions for the Igbo nations, bearing in mind that the challenge of this generation of Nigerians is to reinvent a model of democracy that will offer each federating unit a holistic sense of belonging, seasoned by equality, justice and the rule of law.

Governor Uzodimma said that the task to find answers to the big questions is urgent because it seems obvious that the original federal project secured by our founding fathers has fallen apart.

“For Ndigbo, the challenge of our generation is to insist on our inalienable birthright as citizens of Nigeria, who must coexist with other ethnic nationalities as equal partners. This is the rationale for my book that has just been presented to you. It is my own modest contribution on how the Igbos can overcome the existential challenges facing them today in project Nigeria. A section of the opposition both those of All Progressives Congress APC and Peoples Democratic Party PDP have said that there is no possible way Sen. Hope Uzodinma could have authored the book owing to his busy schedules.

The real battle on the book is the fact that there has been a thug of war among Igbo leaders for supremacy ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Former Governors Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Orji Uzor Kalu have both declared interest for presidency but the big question heaves on who gets the ticket from the ruling APC when it is obvious that both of them are not in the good books of the present party leadership.

Governor Hope Uzodimma who is the leader of the APC in the South East has often avoided the South East and South South Governors forum meetings often sending his Deputy Prof. Placid Njoku to represent him.

Governor Hope Uzodimma who has been rumored to be interested in running for a second term will be playing a big role in who emerges as the presidential candidate of the APC with his recent blooming relationship with the present party leadership.
