Uche Nwosu who was recently arrested in his home church by security operatives who are yet to be identified has said that the mission was to eliminated him.
The former Chief of Staff, Imo State Government House was fiercely arrested inside the church on Sunday while the outing service of his late mother was going on.
He said that he was humiliated by the masked officers who also desecrated the house of God by shooting and carrying out arrest inside it.
He denied that there was never a time he was invited by the police for questioning adding that judging by the source of the orders for his arrest, everything was cooked up in Imo State Government House.
He blamed Governor Hope Uzodimma for what he went through narrating that he was taken away from his wife and mother-in-law by armed men who refused to identify themselves.
Uche Nwosu said that he was forced into a another vehicle in Njaba, while at Okigwe Road, Owerri other vehicles diverted towards the government house.
Speaking further he said that the officers who were speaking Hausa language got orders from one “Shaba” who is the Chief Security officer to Governor Hope Uzodimma and he was stripped, cuffed and was filmed.
The photos eventually found their way to the internet and Uche Nwosu said that he was then taken to Enugu airport where they waited for an hour before a private jet took him to Abuja.
In Abuja he said that the police inspector General who was not properly briefed on the mater intervened to secure his release.
He repeated said that the mission of the officers was clear, to eliminate and disgrace him, thanking all corners of the media for their efforts in ensuring there was pressure on those who captured him.
He then called on the police inspector General to find out who gave the orders of his arrest as well as who paid for the private jet that was used to take him to Abuja.
He said that the outcome of the inspector general’s investigation will determine the nature of the legal action he will be taking.
Far the only thing imo state government has don is to deny that Uche Nwosu was arrested in the church adding that the police can never do such.
One now begins to wonder Imo state government has become the mouthpiece of the police command same thing that happened when Senator Rochas Okorocha was arrested.
Police statement when news of Nwosu”s abduction has gone viral was that they are aware of the arrest but not that he was in their custody, prompting questions of who actually gave the order.
