Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, on Saturday noted that unity in love and prayers can move the country forward.

He stated this in his Christmas message which he shared on his Facebook page.

Sharing a picture of himself with his wife and mother, the senator noted that when Nigerians unite in love and prayers, the country can move forward.

He wrote, “Merry Christmas to you all. This is yet another season to renew and imbibe the values of love, peace, hope, and sacrifice, which Christmas rekindles, in order to build a more egalitarian and prosperous society.

“The challenges of the moment notwithstanding, the joy of Christ’s birth remains our strength.

“We can always overcome by uniting in love and prayers across political, religious, and ethnic divides to move the nation forward.
