The Bayelsa State Police Command has reinforced the ban on the use of fireworks during and after the yuletide celebrations in the State.

The command also advised parents and guardians to warn their wards to desist from the use of any fireworks during and after the yuletide.

A statement issued to DAILY POST, on Tuesday, through the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, said it
has rejigged its security strategy to guarantee public safety during the yuletide season.

The statement continued, “The command will intensify stop and search operations on land and the waterways and equally enhanced the visibility of Policemen in the nooks and crannies of the State.

The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Ben Nebolisa Okolo, FDC, has reassured residents and visitors, of the Command’s commitment to ensure a peaceful celebration of Christmas and New Year in the State.
