Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku has revealed he would hold a meeting with the club on Monday to sort issues surrounding his recent controversial interview.
Lukaku was left out of the West Londoners’ team that drew 2-2 with Liverpool on Sunday following the interview.
The Belgium international had told Sky Sports Italia that he was not happy at Stamford Bridge; accused manager Thomas Tuchel of ‘playing a different formation’ that does not get the best out of him.
Lukaku said he wanted to return to Inter Milan and also said that the Blues were only his fourth-choice club to move to last summer.
Former US goalkeeper and former Lukaku’s teammate at Everton, Tim Howard has now revealed a text from Lukaku
Tim Howard, who works as a pundit for NBC Sports, revealed that the Belgian has a meeting with Chelsea scheduled for Monday.
NBC Sports presenter Rebecca Lowe passed on the ex-USA goalkeeper’s information, saying on Sunday: “Tim Howard has been texting with Romelu Lukaku.
“Lukaku says he can’t talk too much about it, it’s very hot, but there’s another meeting – Lukaku told Tim – on Monday. He says he has another meeting on Monday and he can talk more after that.”
