Barr Uche Onyeagucha in a bid to contest for the Owerri Zone Senatorial seat has begun consultation with political leaders in the zone.
Barr. Onyeagucha who is a former member of the House of Representatives for Owerri federal Constituency was also a key member of the government of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha before he was ousted by the Supreme Court.
The former lawmaker who has commenced consultation with the Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Imo State, said that he came to make them aware of his ambition to run for the Owerri Zone Senate seat which is presently occupied by Senator Onyewuchi Ezenwa who is also a member of the PDP.
Applauding the efforts of the working committee in piloting the affairs of the party, he encouraged them to remain more committed to ensure the party reclaims the state.
The Imo PDP State Chairman, Engr. Charles Ugwu who spoke for the State Working Committee hailed Barr. Onyeagucha for the quality he is bringing into the party.
Engr. Ugwu commended Onyeagucha’s support and contributions to the party and encouraged him to remain steadfast.
He described Hon Onyeagucha’s senatorial ambition as a bold step in the right direction and encouraged him to remain committed and focused.
