General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Dr Mohammed Sanusi, has reacted to Nigeria’s 2-0 win against Guinea-Bissau at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Wednesday.

Sanusi said the NFF is proud of the team’s outings so far at the AFCON after beating Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday night.

According to him, the NFF believes Augustine Eguavoen’s men can go far in the tournament in Cameroon due to their impressive performance.

The three-time Africa champions had defeated Egypt and Sudan in their first two AFCON matches.

“It was an excellent performance by the Super Eagles and they have again won all their group phase matches as they did in Egypt in 2006, also under Eguavoen,” Sanusi was quoted by the NFF’s official website as saying.

“The NFF is proud of the team’s outings so far and we believe it can go all the way.”
