The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to West Ham, who took in a successful loan spell last season, but Tottenham are hoping to win the race for his signature.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have confirmed that their midfielder, Halle Houssein, will spend the remainder of the season on loan at West Ham United Women.
