Post-graduate students of University of Nigeria, Nsukka on Sunday 16th, 2022 celebrated Governor Henry Oluwasola as he marked another year. The celebration was done both virtual and physical through different social media channels, shout outs, calls and gifts presentation.
Governor Henry is currently serving as the 8th Governor of Odili Postgraduate Hall University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Following the event, remarks were received from students, friends and well-wishers, amongst others include: The Chief Hall Supervisor of Odili-UNN PG Hall , Mr Young Goddy Nkwocha, in his words said “Happy birthday to you Governor Henry. May God grant you many more colourful and successful years ahead. I pray that God will continue to guide you throughout your tenure, Congratulations!”
The immediate past Governor of the Hall, His Excellency, Benjamin Oke Ujevbe averred that Governor Henry is ” a very diligent young man, a fine researcher, a young man that loves God and have passion for justice and transparency in all things. He is a very disciplined person and has a funny laugh pattern. Happy birthday, Your Excellency Olumayowa, O.H. God bless your new age. Congratulations as you age with ease.”
On behalf of the Executives, the Public Relation Officer (PRO), Mercy Asonye remarked that “Governor Sola is an amazing person filled with wisdom. He is a man of integrity, dedication and compassion. He is a visionary leader. I admire his punctuality to activities. He is a blessing to this administration, this hall and his generation.”
Another, is a scholar and a staff of the University, Mr Aguiyi C.C who stated that the celebrant ” is a good politician who knows that the way to the TOP is through the BOTTOM.”
A fine scholar and resident of the Hall, Ms Ngozi Okonji wrote “on this great day I wish you a happy birthday and to thank you for your service to PG students. During the short period you have been in office, you have proven yourself to be a leader of high ethics and morality. You are kindhearted and considerate yet firm and strong. Don’t ever stop fighting for what you believe in. You are an inspiration, and I hope you have many more years to keep up the good work. On your birthday, I’m proud to call you my leader. Thank you for everything and happy birthday.”
A friend and former occupant of the Hall, Michael Olughu described His Excellency as “a man of humility, selflessness and determination. He is a silent achiever, and I am always proud to have him as a promising leader right from my days at Odili post graduate Hall, University of Nigeria, Nsukka till this day. Happy birthday, my kind friend and Governor. Cheers!”
Governor Henry was filled with delight for such kind gestures towards him. Nevertheless, birthday gifts are still welcomed.
