The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command, has said it generated N3.4 million through issuance and renewal of license of private guard companies by the Private Guard Control Department of the corps, among others.

This is as the command honoured outstanding officers for their commendable performance in the year 2021.

The Commandant of NSCDC in the state, Ocheja Emmanuel, presented the awards to the officers in Osogbo, the state capital on Monday.

The Commandant promised to do more, most importantly, in the area of staff welfare, as he equally enjoined officers to cooperate with him in achieving a progressive command.

However, he warned officers to desist from acts that undermine the progress of the corps, stressing that any officer caught in any act of indiscipline will be dealt with accordingly.

Atanda said the command remains committed to the mandates of the corps to ensure the protection of life and property of law-abiding citizens.
