Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, an activist lawyer, on Wednesday, alleged that former Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari may be reabsorbed into the Nigeria Police Force, NPF.

Adegboruwa made the claims while accusing the Force of treating Kyari’s case with levity.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who was reacting to Kyari’s indictment by the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, spoke on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily.

NDLEA had linked Kyari to a drug cartel operating along the Brazil-Ethiopian-Nigerian route.

The agency also released video evidence to back up its allegation against the former Police Intelligence Response Team, IRT, boss.

Reacting, Adegboruwa said: “For the event that that happened on Monday through the NDLEA, I am just sure that one day we will just wake up and see that Mr Kyari would have been reabsorbed into the Nigeria Police Force.

“With all due respect, I think that was what Mr. IGP was working towards because if you look at the events, it would seem that the super cop was in the good books of those in power.”
