The Clerk of the House of Representatives, Chinedu Akabueze and his Deputy will be meeting the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila for a sanction over poor performance.
The Secretariat of the House was on Thursday found wanting, as the officials were unprepared for the days’ plenary.
The Speaker had entered the chamber at 11:20 am, however, some of the Deputies were not at the chamber.
Also, the agenda (Order Paper) was not ready for the lawmakers to proceed.
A visibly angry Gbajabiamila ordered the staff working in the chamber to meet him in his office and called for the sack of those responsible for preparing the order paper.
“This House sits at 11, everybody knows that it’s 11:20am now. when I came in, nobody was on this floor. None of your deputies were here. Order paper is not ready,” he said.
He also disclosed that he will be holding the officials responsible for forcing the House to adjourn.
Shortly after his remarks, he adjourned the House till Tuesday, next week.
