The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has raised the alarm over impersonation, warning Senator Rochas Okorocha and his group to stop making a mockery of themselves and desist from all acts tantamount to impersonation as members of the party.
In a release signed by its state Publicity Secretary, Cajetan Duke, the party under the chairmanship of Hon. MacDonald Ebere will deal decisively with any wanton act of provocation by this shameless group that does not deserve an atom of honour, through appropriate legal means.
The release said, “It is highly embarrassing, that Dan Nwafor, who beyond his subservient attachment to Rochas’ family, has no other verifiable means of livelihood will brazenly claim to be the state chairman of Imo APC.
“We as a party, therefore warn Rochas Okorocha (who is clearly the hand of Esau in the affront) and his group of never-do-wells to stop making a mockery of themselves and desist from all acts tantamount to impersonation as the Imo APC under the visionary leadership of Hon. MacDonald Ebere PhD will henceforth deal decisively with any wanton act of provocation and exhibition of imbecility by this shameless group that does not deserve an atom of honour, through appropriate legal means.
“The truth remains that Nwafor is not qualified in all ramifications to occupy the position of ward chairman of a highly sophisticated political party like APC let alone, a state chairman. The inglorious era of ‘my family, my in-laws’ politics is gone!
“Imo APC remains united and strong under the leadership of Senator Hope Uzodimma and Chairmanship of Hon. MacDonald Ebere PhD. We insist there is no crack in our party except this few misguided elements.”
The party said it is no longer news that on February 3, 2022, Hon. MacDonald Ebere, together with other duly-elected chairmen of the party across the nation were inaugurated and issued with certificates of return as recognized and substantive Chairmen of the APC in the various states of the federation.
The party said the Mai Mala Buni-led National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee issued the certificates.
