he All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has endorsed ex-Governor Tanko Al-Makura’s bid to become national chairman.

Governor Abdullahi Sule made the announcement during a visit to his predecessor on Monday, in Abuja.

Sule said the Senator represents the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), one of the APC’s founding parties.

The Governor stated that Al-Makura was fit, competent and reliable, NAN reports.

“If there is any face of the CPC in Nigeria, apart from President Muhammadu Buhari, it’s Tanko Al-makura.

“My humble self and APC state stakeholders l have since endorsed him, as he has set up a machinery for a united party, devoid of rancour,” he said.

Sule expressed hope that everyone will do their best to ensure that Buhari’s legacies were sustained.

He charged APC members to vote for the right candidate for the growth and the development of the country.
