The coalition of youth groups on the platform of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa State chapter, has called on the public to give President Muhammadu Buhari a rousing welcome during his proposed visit to the state on Feb. 24.

Mr Jaafar Loko, Nasarawa State Chairman of NYCN, made the call at a news conference on Monday in Lafia.

The leader of the youth groups said that the president’s visit to inaugurate some life impacting projects executed by the federal and state governments would be useful.

He listed some of the projects to include Loko-Oweto bridge, Central Bank of Nigeria complex, Federal Secretariat complex and Abuja-Keffi-Lafia-Makurdi dual carriageway, among others.

The youth groups also used the occasion to endorse Sen. Umaru Al-Makura for the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) position in the forthcoming convention of the party.

Loko said that their decision to support Al-Makura for the National Chairman of the APC was due to his track record of achievements as a former governor and all positions he held in the past.(NAN)
