The Federal Government has said evacuations of Nigerians will begin as soon as the airports in Ukraine are open.

This was made known in a statement signed by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Francisca Omayuili, on Wednesday.

Recall that shortly after Russian troops launched a wide-range attack on Ukraine on Thursday, the Nigerian Embassy in Ukraine urged Nigerians to remain calm and be responsible for their security and safety in the country.
